URBAN LEGEND is a classic rock cover band from the Cedar Valley comprised of:

Jim Batchelder: vocals, guitar and keyboards.

Jeff Hawk: drums and vocals.

Larry Johnson: guitar, vocals and occasional electric banjo.

Dave Byford: bass and vocals.

Formed in the fall of 2004, the band played their first gig on New Year’s Eve of that year, and have been playing steadily ever since.

Urban Legend is the House Band for KCRR 97.7FM, helping the station in live sound production and entertainment.

Besides playing in the local bars, clubs, and private parties in the Cedar Valley, they do town festivals, benefits and run live sound for other bands and events.
